At this level, you don’t need a teacher to instruct you on the basics or complexities of English grammar. If you want more practice, there is no end to free resources online.

Here, you will challenge your language capabilities and push yourself further than ever before.

Founder

Hi, my name is Ian Polak-Kime.

I’m an American currently living in the French Alps. I began my journey as an English teacher in 2018 after receiving my CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), an internationally recognized teaching qualification administered by Cambridge English, part of the University of Cambridge.

I’ve spent the last 8 years teaching and learning languages. Advanced Speakers Online is the end result of my good and bad experiences on both sides of the table.

Access to a native speaker does not guarantee improvement. Students need to know what to expect and teachers need to know what to do. ASO hopes to fill the gap many advanced speakers complain about.

We can’t all go live abroad for a year to improve fluency.
